AMAZING STRUCTURE : Sultan Ahmed Mosque
Sultan Ahmed is a mosque located at Istanbul, Turkey. It was constructed between 1609 and 1616 during the rule of Ahmed i, which became the name of the mosque and he was buried in the courtyard of the mosque. This mosque also known as the " Blue Mosque" because in the past the interior was blue. However, the bule paint is not part of the original decoration of mosque, so the paint is removed. Now the interior of this mosque doesnt look blue anymore. The basic structure of this building is look like a cube, measuring 53 times 51 meters. As is all mosque, the mosque is directed to Mecca, with the mihrab in front.
